State privacy rights request

  1. 1Visit truthfinder.com/privacy-center to access the Data Privacy Center.
  2. 2Select the type of privacy right you wish to exercise (e.g., right to know, right to delete, right to opt out of sale).
  3. 3Provide the required identifying information and submit your request.
  4. 4Complete any identity verification steps requested.

Do not sell or share opt out

  1. 1Visit the TruthFinder website and look for the cookie/opt-out preferences banner or link (usually in the footer or via a pop-up).
  2. 2Check the 'Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information' box.
  3. 3Click 'Save My Preferences' to confirm your opt-out preference.
  4. 4Alternatively, enable Global Privacy Control (GPC) in a compatible browser to automatically signal your opt-out preference on each visit.

Record suppression opt out

  1. 1Go to the TruthFinder Privacy Center at truthfinder.com/privacy-center or navigate directly to the PeopleConnect Suppression Center at suppression.peopleconnect.us.
  2. 2Enter your email address, accept the terms, and submit to receive a verification email link.
  3. 3Open the verification email and click the link (it expires in approximately 15 minutes).
  4. 4Confirm your date of birth and enter your full legal name to search the database.
  5. 5Review the matching records and select the one that corresponds to you.
  6. 6Choose a phone number or email address from your listing to receive an identity-verification code.
  7. 7Enter the verification code when prompted.
  8. 8Set the 'desired behavior' for your record to 'Suppressed' and save.

Opt out by mail or phone

  1. 1Email privacy@truthfinder.com (or help@truthfinder.com as a backup) stating clearly that you want your TruthFinder listing suppressed, and provide enough details (name, date of birth, addresses) for them to locate your record.
  2. 2Alternatively, call Intelius/TruthFinder customer care at (877) 564-3253 during business hours (Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Pacific time).
  3. 3Tell the representative you want to opt out and suppress your data — not cancel a subscription.
  4. 4Have your name, date of birth, and addresses tied to your listing ready for verification.

Account cancellation

  1. 1Log in to your TruthFinder account.
  2. 2Navigate to account or subscription settings and locate the cancellation option.
  3. 3Follow the prompts to cancel your subscription.
  4. 4Note: canceling your subscription does not suppress your public listing — complete the suppression process separately at suppression.peopleconnect.us if you also want your record removed.
