Personal data export

  1. 1Sign in to waze.com/account in a web browser.
  2. 2Click on 'Download your Waze data'.
  3. 3Follow the on-screen instructions and click 'Request data archive' when ready.
  4. 4Write down the temporary password provided — you will need it to open the encrypted archive.
  5. 5Check your email for the data archive link and use the temporary password to open the encrypted ZIP file within 24 hours.

Push notification opt out

  1. 1Open the Waze app.
  2. 2Tap the menu icon.
  3. 3Tap Settings.
  4. 4Scroll down and tap Notifications.
  5. 5To turn off push notifications: clear the individual notifications you want to disable, or clear 'Receive all push notifications' to turn off all push notifications at once.
  6. 6To turn off email notifications: tap the Email tab, then clear individual notifications or clear 'Receive all email notifications' to turn off all email notifications.
  7. 7Scroll down and tap Save.

Account deletion

  1. 1Open the Waze app.
  2. 2Tap the menu icon.
  3. 3Tap 'View profile', below your name.
  4. 4Tap 'Account and login'.
  5. 5Scroll down and tap 'Delete account'.
  6. 6Tap 'Continue' to confirm. You may need to enter your login details to verify your identity.

Calendar access control

  1. 1To disable specific calendars within Waze: Open the Waze app, tap the menu icon, tap 'Plan a drive', tap 'Settings' in the top right corner, tap 'Your calendars', then tap each calendar you want to turn off.
  2. 2To fully revoke calendar access on Android: Go to your device Settings, then Apps, then Waze, then Permissions, then Calendar, and turn off calendar permission.
  3. 3To fully revoke calendar access on iOS: Go to device Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Calendars, then Waze, and turn off calendar access.

Voice microphone feature disable

  1. 1Open the Waze app.
  2. 2Tap the menu icon (three lines / hamburger menu).
  3. 3Go to Settings.
  4. 4Select Voice & Sound.
  5. 5Toggle off the option 'Talk to report'.
